Jennifer Pinder
I worked as a General Dental Practitioner, both as an Associate and Practice Owner, latterly for a Private Corporate Chain prior to my recent retirement from clinical dentistry. Throughout my career I have had many positive mentoring opportunities such as being a vocational trainer and founding Women in Dentistry to help empower female dentists to achieve their potential.
My training included being a part of the Mentoring Development Team, including tutoring, on the Certificate Course of the FGDP(UK).
In 2009 this led to being accepted as a Coach for the (then) London Deanery Scheme for Doctors and Dentists. I was sponsored to take the ILM Certificate at Level 7 in Executive and Leadership Coaching. Since then I have trained in CBT Coaching which can be highly effective both for life coaching but also for use in Dental Practice.
My business is named Coaching for Resilience and Recovery. My Clients have included women who are trying to combine careers with family life, people who are seeking career coaching at all levels, and those with a range of performance difficulties. Resilience is an essential characteristic to weather the ups and downs of modern fast changing health care and regulation.
I have an interest in Stress Management and especially helping and coaching those in early recovery from alcohol dependence.
I am developing Personal Development Planning Coaching so that the mandatory PDP (which as well as meeting GDC enhanced CPD requirements), is actually meaningful and not just a tick box exercise .
